Step 1
Select a panel.
Step 2
Measure the wall.
Step 3
Lay the panel flat (face down) on horizontal surface and mark out desired shape. Size to be cut on the back of panel. Use a reciprocating saw with fine blade or angle grinder with diamond disk blade.
Step 4
Place panel on wall or ceiling to be covered and fasten into place with appropriate screws. Do NOT over-tighten screws. Screws to be placed in joints between stones, never in the stones.
Step 5
Flat head screws recommended. Pre-drilling may be required for masonry applications. If placing over drywall, locate studs prior to installation of panels. When using numerous panels or pieces allow 1/4" spacing at seams.
Step 6
Mix mastic and accelerator supplied at a ratio of 1 Lb. mastic to 10 ml. accelerator. Mix thoroughly to obtain total contact. Approximate use of mastic is 4l lbs per panel.
Step 7
Using a 1" putty knife apply mastic to the seams and over screw heads. Shape mastic to rebuild stones as required.
Step 8
Dab mastic with coarse paintbrush to give rough texture and fine hair paintbrush to give a smooth texture. Never drag paintbrush over mastic. Mastic dries in about 1 hour from mixing with accelerator. Clean paintbrush with acetone.
Step 9
Clean your brush or prepare a new one for painting.
Step 10
Once mastic is completely dry, prepare paint. Dip paintbrush into paint/ oxide, drain excess liquid onto rag and apply paint.
Step 11
Before paint has completely dried, rub the colored surface with a rag to achieve uniform color.
Step 12
Congratulations! You have completed the installation successfully.
